50 Cents. Period. believes that every woman and girl has the right to experience her period with dignity. Their mission to equip and empower women and girls in rural and traditionally marginalized populations to stay fully engaged in their lives and educations, without the stigma and barriers surrounding their periods.
In order to meet the specific cultural and contextual needs of the communities they serve, 50 Cents. Period. works in tandem with local NGO partners and community leaders to implement holistic programs of menstrual hygiene management, reproductive health education, clean water, and sanitation.
To bolster women’s health education through Village Health Teams, and to provide menstrual hygiene management for girls enrolled with Engeye Scholars, 50 Cents. Period and Engeye have joined forces.
