Denise joins us with a diverse career in healthcare fields that has included clinical laboratory practice, research, regulatory issues and patient advocacy. She has degrees in Medical Technology/Microbiology and a Master of Business Administration. She is active in non-profits locally with a community care group, a hospice home, working with people with developmental disabilities, a local prison ministry, a local support recovery group, and various church ministries.

She has been volunteering regularly in African countries since 2006, and she recently joined the January 2017 team to Uganda. She has expanded our work in the local community by bringing the women’s pad project to empower local girls to stay in school and the moringa tree project for better nutrition and health. We are stronger having her as part of our Engeye family.
