Julie McMurchie comes to the Engeye Board of Directors after having the good fortune to travel to Engeye on two different occasions with a Providence Medical Center team from Portland, Oregon. After attending law school, Julie chose to stay home and raise her children, the oldest of which, Kate, volunteered with her at the clinic in 2010. Julie has spent the majority of her energy in the last 10 years working with the organization Compassion and Choices of Oregon, first as volunteer coordinator and for the past three years as board chair. Compassion and Choices of Oregon offers patient support and public information surrounding Oregon’s Death with Dignity Law. She also helps coordinate teams and visitors to the clinic.
