Nante Prossy is known as Mama Jackie because of the Ugandan custom to identify a woman by the name of her first-born child. She is Engeye’s lead Artisan and our most successful entrepreneur.  Mama Jackie is an extremely hard worker.  She holds a position as a cook for the staff and volunteers at the clinic, organizes the women that make up the Artisans program and she owns and operates a shop where she sells her homemade juices, chapati and other goods.  She opened her shop shortly after receiving the first entrepreneurship grant to start her own juice business in 2016.  Each year she expands her shop’s operation and adds new products.
